This is the competition I worked with Chao and Jill last year. Although it didn’t win but it’s the first time cooperate with Chao and Jill and seems a good experience. We share our perspective of architecture and drawing.
Sited beside the trees in the center of the site, the structure is the metaphor(or prototype) of the tree. With the light embodied in the space, it provides more possibilities and expressions for the artists and visitants.
It is the interweaving on the glasses created by the reflections and shadows and the authentic trees and leaves that gives the exhibition more changeability and vigorousness. Besides, the porous deck on the ground invites the wind and grass to participate in the whole space, which forms a more natural way for exhibiting. Combined these characteristics, the exhibition space can not only interact with the environment but also alter time by time.
